FOCAULT OR EDGE CURRENT SEPARATORS

FOPERATION.The separation system consists of a conveyor belt and a rotor with a 14 or 24-pole magnetic circuit built inside to adapt to the product's granulometry, all within a steel box and covered by a counter drum. As the drum and counter drum are separated from the inductor rotor, it allows it to operate at different frequencies. When the rotor rotates at high speed, it generates an electric current in the conductive (non-ferrous) metals. This inductive voltage produces a magnetic field opposite to that of the rotor, causing the non-ferrous metals to be repelled by the separating plate from the rest of the material. The rejected metal falls into the hopper by gravity, leaving the two products separated.

APPLYTIONS.

The separators They are indicated for the separation of non-ferrous metals, aluminum, brass, copper, etc., whether from recycling processes, waste reduction, semi-manufactured goods production or from other processes, involving an economic benefit.

EXAMPLES TYPICAL:

  • SeparationNon-ferrous metals from: car shredders, foundry slag, foundry sand, household and industrial waste in recycling companies, MSW recycling plants.

  • The selectionn of soft drink cans from a dry recycling stream.

  • Withdrawal from menon-ferrous such as crushed wood.

  • Withdrawal of sglass dirt.

  • Withdrawal of aluminium components in plastic frame recycling.
